Welcome to New Nordic Horses

New Nordic Horses is an enterprise in the Belgian Limburg area, founded in 2004 by the Norwegian Camilla Hauglin and her husband, veterinarian Wim Housen.

In 1988 Camilla started training with Daan Nanning, later on she worked with Piet Raymaekers and Henk van de Pol. For many years she competed together with Henk in national and international events on the horses of Hans Dings, horse –trader. After some time, Camilla started a trading stable herself and she moved to Belgium in 2000.

Wim Housen graduated in 1992 as veterinarian from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Ghent University, and specialized himself in horses immediately. The facilities in Meeuwen – Gruitrode will host a full service equine clinic soon, equipped to serve your horse health needs on a very high level. For more information, please visit these pages.

New Nordic Horses is specialized in “ cryopreservation “ or the freezing of stallion semen for artificial insemination. The brand new European approved facilities in Meeuwen – Gruitrode are provided with appropriated stalls for stallions from private owners, equipped with the latest technology for collecting and freezing semen. New Nordic Horses is also a quarantine facility, where horses can be boarded waiting for their transfers to other countries because of import and export regulations.

  29/08/2011 CSN Nieuwpoort was a succes for Alexander and Cyklon Texass. They jumped their first 1.10 M class and were 2nd!! Also Super Girl and Raquina were in the mood, all this leads to a total of 6 prizes over the weekend!!!
